The porcelain parts have been stained dark grey and with an interesting varied surface like a mussel shell. This is created by giving the surface of each part a variable thickness of white, natural porcelain and the grey porcelain behind pushes through according to thickness of white.
Patinated brass frame with hidden hanger. Signed on reverse.
